Tyler Byrd, DO
Dr. Tyler Byrd is board certified in psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Byrd received his medical degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Following medical school, he completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham while also volunteering his time to complete mental health evaluations at the Cullman County Jail. Dr. Byrd specializes in treating depressive disorders, anxiety and panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder and other conditions for patients age 13 and older. Additionally, Dr. Byrd works with Cullman Regional to develop care protocols for Emergency Department patients with acute mental health issues. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Byrd loves trying new restaurants with his wife and son.
